Untitled

Untitled, because I forgot what I wanted to put for the title. :p I don't really have the mood to blog actually. Too much on my mind (Eg. ISU, test, bad grades.. :X), seriously, I can die right now in a pile of poo. The only thing that keeps me going is the fact that December is coming. December= holiday in France. :D

Anyhoo, today, I watched yet another sad video during Biology class today. It was basically about how the ecosystem is suffering due to our acts of mankind. The show just inspires me to want to help more. I may have given up my dreams to pursue psychology, but I still have this
ridiculous desire to want to be someone who is capable to help out people, and perhaps the world? Lolx. I know it sounds funny and kind of lame, but that is what I believe is my reason for being here.

Back to the video, and enough about myself. The video basically showed a whole bunch of species that were about to face extinction. From Amur Leopards to amphibians (frogs), etc. You get the picture. The animal that caught my attention most was the polar bear. I felt kinda sad and upset at that part of the video. I just felt like not watching anymore. It's really upsetting to see what we have done to the world. In high school, we were often told that we borrow the earth from our children. Will my children ever get to see polar bears? Ok, that's to far away to think about. Will
I ever get to see a polar bear? You can actually read more about what is happening to the polar
bears here.

This is actually one good example of why polar bears are facing extinction.

The thinning of ice.

And this is actually how most of them die.

Besides lack of food, they often drown while in search for more icy surface.
:(

Moral of the story would be, we really should think of a way, as individuals to reduce the thinning of the ozon layer, the release of green house gases, etc.

These are two videos that are similar to what I saw. These are two videos that made me cry.
These are two videos that strongly show what we have done towards the ecosystem.

Fuming

I may be 'boring' ( though sorry to say, I am that vain to say I am not), but at least, I am not the A-hole loser who couldn't care more or less about his work. Thus, bringing down his team mate who cares about getting a good grade. Both you and your other A-hole friend are just plain weirdos. And at least, I don't look like a freaking ZOMG zombie in class.

Moral of the story, men are just plain weird.

When Reality Hits...

It's almost the end (about 3 more weeks) til this chapter closes.
I seriously, seriously loathe the statement "friends come, and go" because that's what's going to happen. All the people that I went through my pre-U life with are all leaving. We are all going to part our separate ways. Urgh! This is definitely different from high school. The fact that we were much close. Yes, we only knew each other for 1 year, but we were in a tiny class of 15 students (minimum). That's how close our bond is.

Jatuh Ditimpa Tangga

Today is by far, my Most unlucky day. Why you may ask?
Well..

1. I'm having allergic reactions still (rash) :(
The story behind that is that I accidentally consumed (seriously, I did not know) cereal that contains some ingredient I'm allergic to. I knew all the while I'm allergic to Trix.
In case you don't know what Trix is

So yeah, I'm having ugly mutated looking rash on me now.

I consumed Milo cereal
*inserts image*

Come to think of it, their both rather ball-ish looking cereals.

Urgh!
*scratches*
2. I came all the way to Sunway Club filled with hope to finish my Biology work.
Unfortunately, the stupid )($&&())# library is under construction.. Till the end of December. WTF! No table, ok fine.. a very low leveled table to do my work. So here I am blogging. Would love to go to Starbucks instead, but I am covered in purple lotion and I'm dressed like a typical kampung girl.

3. There is test tomorrow.

4. Babi Gossip Girls won't play. OTH has not been downloaded finish yet.
So yes, lifeless soul blogging. =(

Oh yeah, since I'm already ranting...

5. I am such a fat round pao now!

Packed My Bags and Headed Away from Civilization

Last weekend I decided (ok, not really decided, was already planned) to ditch my assignments and head away from the hustle and bustle of the city and technology. I picked Celina ( le twin) at about 6.2o am, and then we went to college. Upon arrival I spotted a bunch of guys (didn't know any of them except Zahid). I saw May too :D At least another person I know. Amir couldn't make it because he sprained both his ankles. Such a bummer. Lesson learnt, I should never run for Biology class or I might end up like him too.. (hee.. but then have to pay Rm1 =.=) I refused to let twin sleep on the bus. *sinister laughter* It's always been a curse that whoever seats beside me on road trips won't get to sleep at all. I will talk and talk and talk.

Some pictures taken on the bus.

Twin and I.

Our ugly thighs. Mine only actually. :C

Twin: Get me out of here!!

May ;p *revenge for brushing teeth picture.* lolx.

We saw an accident near the Tapah rest stop, but I was too lazy to take a picture. The front of the guys car was already on fire a bit. Stopped at Tapah to pee and eat. Then it was off to the uber winding roads. :o The bus stopped us at Cameron Valley Teahouse (or shop) whatever it was called. Went to pee one last round. Yes, I art very paranoid about pee-ing on the ground, especially for this track since its referred to as "leech heaven". *shudders*

Took some pictures of the view.
I love the clouds, but they look kind of fake.
Twin, solo version.
Yours truly :D
R2 D2 shot (That's what Mr Tan calls us)
Group picture!

Upon reaching the first village...

To be honest, this is the first time I've been to any kind of village, the first time I see houses like this. Andrew, (figured out a bunch of people's names at night) handed out sweets to the kids. Then we begin our hike into the forest.

I call this the view before entering hell.
(cause no leeches yet!)
Twin all geared up with her 'magic' boots.
Sebastian.
Twin and I (clean shot)
No pictures during the rest of the trek because it was super muddy, and we had to go through a river path. AND there was so many leeches.. EEeee.. I fell 938248193 times, sprained my ankle 4 times (3 times on my left leg, 1 time on my right leg). As a result, was super whiny when I reached Pos Atap. But then again, I was kind of thankful that Ismail (one of the native tribes who brought us in) carried my bag for me during the last one hour =B )

Leech bites!

And my shoes died too. It was covered in dirt.

And this is what Pos Atap looked like. *drum rolls*

"Depressed" look

The inside of the so-called bungalow :)

I didn't go and bath at all. The orang asli said there would be leeches in the river. Plus, they laughed at us for freaking out when we found leeches on our legs. Lol. Cultural differences I guess.

Some shots from dinner (:

Sweets.
We were suppose to gamble with them, but didn't due to exhaustion.

Twin enjoying the fresh air around us.

Ms Janie! :)

Guess what this is :D

I think I slept better here then I did at Gunung Datuk. We slept around 9.30pm. The weirdest incident happened after that. I was dreaming (though at that time I did not realize that I was dreaming) that we were all leaving the camp already. Imagined I saw May packing her stuff. So I woke Celina up ( that was when I woke up already). I told her it was time to leave. And she kind of believed me until she realized that it was still dark outside. So she checked the time. It was only 3am. =.=" Thanks to the Arabian guys who were so noisy, and they were jumping some more, they woke us up. So cis. P.S: I forgot to mention that I swore so much on this trip. Go figure what the magic word was :p

My sleeping place.

Twin

stupid The guys who woke us up.

Sebastian. He is the guy who scolded those guys. *yay!* I was sleeping so I didn't hear a thing. Dang!

I finally managed to pee. Ask me how I did it :p LOL. You'd be surprise.

Group shot before leaving *credits to Mr Tan for the picture*

Leaving *credits to Mr Tan for the picture*

We begin our trek back up at about 10 I think. Surprisingly, going back up was way faster than coming back down despite the fact that it was uber slippery. I slipped don't know how many times *ignore my England please. I know its very powderful* Wilson and Andrew had to help me up a lot. Darn, I wish I had twin's boots. So darn many leeches. They all kept climbing up me. That never mind. They were aiming for my thighs! wtf. Other than that, the landscape had changed a lot from the day before due to the rain. A lot of trees fell down and I think there was semi- landslide.

Twin and I when we reached back up. :)

I felt so relieved to be near to civilization again. :D I didn't have my phone for one whole day. Digi sucks. Wilson said digi got no reception cause the yellow man (if you don't know who he is, I really don't know what to say. But erm.. maybe " I will follow you.." would ring a bell.) is too fat and lazy to trek. Thus, no network coverage for me where I was. :O eeee... I parasited twins phone.

Twin and I and orang asli.

Believe it a not, he is 90 years old, but he looks so fit. He said that he only takes 2 hours to run back up. Run back up! We took about 3hours +.

Shoes.

Celina and her sugar. (:

The view again. :D
I love the clouds and the cool breeze.

SMS

"boobs" (failed.. )

ME:D

Bun

The clear road back home. :)

R2D2, feeling proud of ourselves for surviving the night

Twin and orang asli children.

Orang asli kids and I.

Tea plantation.

Huge lettuce/ cabbage :)
All in all, it was a really really great experience. :) Enough of trekking for me for now. :D

"Coraline, NOT Caroline!"

Yesterday I watched the most awesome, interesting, hillarious movie ever!
Note: Opinion on show may vary based on individuals opinion.

Its called...:D

Its actually based on the novel itself. (Synopsis below :D )

A young girl walks through a secret door and discovers a parallel reality that is eerily similar to the life she already knows, yet deeply unsettling in a number of ways, in director
Henry Selick's animated adaptation of Neil Gaiman's international best-seller. Eleven-year-old Coraline Jones (voice of Dakota Fanning) is fearlessly courageous, and perhaps far too adventurous for her own
good. Coraline and her parents (Teri Hatcherand John Hodgman) have recently relocated to
Oregon from Michigan. Bored in her new home since her parents are distracted by work and she
has yet to make any new friends, Coraline passes the time by exploring her new neighborhood with an annoying local boy named Wybie Lovat (Robert Bailey Jr.). But after paying a visit to her eccentric neighbors Miss Spink (Jennifer Saunders) and Miss Forcible (Dawn French), a pair of aging British actresses, and crossing paths with the outright weird Mr. Bobinsky (Ian McShane), the precocious young girl becomes convinced that her new surroundings are just as dull as she'd initially suspected. Shortly thereafter, Coraline discovers a hidden door in her new house, and decides to investigate. Venturing into the eerie passageway inside, Coraline emerges into an alternate version of her own reality. At first glance, this strange new world seems even better than the real thing; there her parents aren't distracted by work, and Coraline is always the center of attention. There's even a mysterious Cat (Keith David) that's fascinated by her every move. But
when Coraline's button-eyed Other Mother (also Hatcher) attempts to make her stay permanent,
the frightened young girl must summon her resourcefulness and bravery in order to find her way
back home and save her real family

(Stolen of the net)

Dakota Fanning
as Coraline
Teri Hatcher
as the mum and the OTHER mother.
And my fav. characters.
:D I find them funny.

Overall, I rate this show 10/10 :D

my loves

A Malaysian Studies Question Made Me Think Of This

How did you picture life to be when you were young? How much has your opinion changed
now that you're an adult?

My Answer
Note: Please don't laugh!

I put that when I was young I saw the world as a beautiful place. *rainbow like image pops up in my mind*

The reason why I saw the world as that was because I never knew about all of these stuff at that time:

Suffering
War
Abuse
where there are sick fathers out there who actually rape and have intercourse with their own daughters!
Poverty
Murder

so on and so forth. All this because I was in the comfort zone of my parents.
I feel as a child, we are hidden from all this. We're protected by things our parents know may upset us.
As a young adult, we're meant to face facts. That life isn't like a rainbow. Life's a bitch. Life's cruel and harsh.
But still, no matter what, we should count our blessings because we aren't placed in any of the situations above. Even if we are less fortunate than others, we still have things; like a place to stay, food, our family, etc.
So yeah, be thankful!

Maybe I Will Name My Daughter Summer :p

(Ignore the very random title given.)
Despite the very hectic schedule I have now, due to the mountain of ISU's being thrown at me, I managed to find time to go watch
which is only being shown at Sunway Pyramid from the 1st of October- 14th of October. No idea why.

If you have no clue what the show is about maybe this will help you:

After it looks as if she's left his life for good this time, Tom Hansen reflects back on the just over one year that he knew Summer Finn. Despite being physically average in almost every respect, Summer had always attracted the attention of men, Tom included. For Tom, it was love at first sight when she walked into the greeting card company where he worked, she the new administrative assistant. Soon, Tom knew that Summer was the woman with whom he wanted to spend the rest of his life. Although Summer did not believe in relationships or boyfriends - in her assertion, real life will always ultimately get in the way - Tom and Summer became more than just friends. Through the trials and tribulations of Tom and Summer's so-called relationship, Tom could always count on the advice of his two best friends, McKenzie and Paul. However, it is Tom's adolescent sister, Rachel, who is his voice of reason. After all is said and done, Tom is the one who ultimately has to make the choice to listen or not.

Overall, I'd rate the show 8.5/10. It would have been better if they did not censor the show so ****-ing much. :( spoils the flow of the movie. However, I love the songs chosen to be in it and the way the show was told-not in an arranged manner. Plus, the graphics and all were really interesting and all. :)

Social Outcast, No More!!

I'm trying to put the depressed feeling in me aside. I decided not to neglect my friends just this once. In case you haven't notice, I turned down reunion for my studies. Yesterday, I decided to put everything aside, and crash someones steamboat party. Yes, I don't even know the person who was hosting the party. Drank two sips of chivas and became high . Kidding, k. Anyway, I shall upload some pictures onto this really dead blog.

1st Picture of the day (Priya and I)
Random shots.

Don't I look tired and ugly shot.
I look fat shot.

I look ... shot.

Ok, that's all the pictures I have.
I'm currently waiting to watch these two movies!!

Make It Go Away

Feeling a mixture of sad feelings right now.
Sent the brother off yesterday. Watching him go off makes me feel so stationary. Stationary because in a few months time most of my friends will be going abroad.
In January it will be twin. In June or July it will be Denise and Maka. In September it will be Lara.
It makes me feel envious that I will never get the chance to leave. Never get my chance to be missed, never get my chance to leave.
Also feeling sad because of Biology. I screwed up my test big time. =(
Wish that someone would stop pestering me about it. *sighs*
That's all for now, got to go do my other work.
"try" to...
My mind is distracted with Biology so much.

A volcano about to erupt!

Why can't people understand simple English?
All that was asked to do, was to refer to the email sent by Celina, and to read the points given for Goals and ACCOMPLISHMENTS , and then elaborate them. But I think what you heard was probably not english but "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious". *gah!*
Yes, I am mean, but you have no idea how mad I am now. Thanks to @#$%@*# I got extra work to do. I have to re-do his work. Argh!

All because of plain flour

Today's post is all about this girl...
(Oh wait, that's erm... ME )
and her dignity.
It all begin when she decided to bake cupcakes today. Chocolate brownie cupcakes to be precise. Happily, she ditched bumming in front of the computer watching Gossip Girls for the kitchen. She gathered all the ingredients stated in the book, from caster sugar to icing sugar.
HOWEVER, she failed to realize that plain flour and self-raising flour were from two different
worlds. In other words, their different types of flour.
The recipe specifically stated 'plain flour' but she used self-raising flour instead, thinking it was the same thing. As a result, the end product was so disastrous that she has no photograph of it. So disastrous that all the evidence was thrown into the dustbin.
However, she googled up a bunch of pictures (not that many though) of cupcakes gone bad just to give readers a rough idea of what happened to her cupcakes. She thinks its better to laugh at the misfortunes of others, rather than her own one.

Eg.1

Eg.2

If you combine Eg.1 with Eg.2 you get a rough idea of what happened to her cupcakes.

Moral of the story is, when in doubt, always ask.
That's all for now, she shall be attempting to bake her brownie cupcakes again later as she already made the icing, which is yummy by the way. =B
